The test shots.
We decided to use a Jay -Z poster as our style model because we liked the layout and the theme, also the way the artist is presented and styled in the poster, as its set out like a film advertise and we believe its appealing to the audience and sells the artist really well. To the right is our first draft, there is still a lot of work and things we need to include such as the artists name and the website. We liked the smokey purple layout be hide the main image, as purple is a contestant colour through out our album, also the resemblance between the poster and the album is important for the target audience so they remember the artist.

'The writing could be a different colour, more creative.. try purple or grey..'
'Include the artists name and make the symbols at the bottom smaller'
'The purple tint should we throughout'
'The artists jacket blends in with my layout, makes the artist less visible, change colour scheme''
After receiving the feedback and working on new idea's for a while, our whole concept changed. below is our final poster for our artists. We changed the image to a close upshot because this shot magnifies the artist, showing very little background, we also added a distorted overlay effect which contrasts with the black and white effect and continues the intoxicated theme. We also added a girl in the background is a convention off the genre to include a female in the background, also its adds sex appeal and attracts a wider range within our target audience.
